ABOUT US
From Handmade Beginnings to a Global Creative Playground
The Story of BellyMonk
BellyMonk was born in Portland, Maine back in 2010—a city where cobblestone streets, ocean breezes, and a vibrant local scene spark endless creativity. We started small, handcrafting and importing unique pieces from skilled artisans India and Nepal, building lasting partnerships rooted in trust, shared values, and a love for quality craftsmanship.
Over time, our creative journey evolved. What began with artisanal jewelry has grown into a bold streetwear and creative clothing line—a fusion of art, culture, and everyday wearability. Today, BellyMonk blends graphic design with street culture, crafting tees, prints, and apparel that feel as authentic as they look. Our collections feature design contributions from talented graphic artists around the globe, each bringing their own culture, vision, and creative flair to the mix.
Every design tells a story—sometimes loud and playful, sometimes minimal and bold, but always unapologetically unique. From Portland’s hip local vibes to global influences, BellyMonk is for those who live creatively, dress boldly, and see the world as a canvas.
This isn't just clothing. This is wearable art with roots and soul.
Where Creativity Meets Community
OUR PHILOSOPHY
At BellyMonk, we believe life’s too short to grow alone. Growth is sweeter when we do it together—lifting each other up, sharing our wins, and turning ideas into reality side by side. For us, it’s not just about getting, it’s about giving—opening doors for others, especially for talented people who might not have the resources or platform to share their craft with the world.
BellyMonk is our little corner of the internet where creativity meets opportunity. Whether you’re a graphic artist with a wild idea, a maker of handmade treasures, or someone with a story to tell, we want this space to be yours, too. We’re working toward a vision where everyone—from the seasoned artisan to the quiet dreamer—has a chance to showcase their art, connect with customers, and be part of a community that cheers each other on.
Because in the end, we’re not just building a brand—we’re building a movement. And the more hands (and hearts) we have in it, the better.
